Service Hours: 2 pm – 5 pm Monday to Friday (except Public Holidays)

What is Zoom-with-a-Librarian service?
Through using the Zoom Conference Meeting, you can communicate with and get assistance from the librarian-on-duty by using chat to write or transfer files, screen sharing or speaking to the librarian, for example, on:
  • Library services
  • Access to library e-resources, such as databases, e-books, etc.
  • Library Collections, such as HK Studies, CUHK Digital Repository
  • Bibliographical management tools, such as EndNote, RefWorks

Demonstrating Academic Honesty in University Writing Assignments
Two essential academic skills in university writing are quoting and paraphrasing. In this in depth workshop, you will first see examples of texts and discuss what constitutes plagiarism, if any, in each case. The respective advantages of quoting and paraphrasing will be looked into. Direct quoting and paraphrasing skills which help you demonstrate academic honesty will be discussed and practised. Finally, RefWorks, a web-based bibliography management tool, will be introduced and you will know the way which helps you manage the citations easily.
